Nicolas Brown

Nicolas Brown has spent the majority of his career in the for-purpose sector working in Australia and overseas. In 2015 he began work at batyr, a youth mental health organisation focused on ensuring all young people live mentally health and fulfilling lives. Initially beginning his time as the School Program Manager in the start-up phase of batyr’s growth, he took on a variety of leadership roles to support driving batyr’s growth and impact. Nic was CEO and Executive Director for batyr until 2023.

Nic is now the CEO of Street Side Medics which is a not-for-profit organisations that delivers free, GP led, mobile medical services to those experiencing homelessness.

Nic has provided support to projects and organisations in a variety of advisory positions including as a Technical Advisory Group Member with the National Mental Health Commission for the National Stigma and Discrimination Reduction Strategy, as a previous Member of Suicide Prevention Australia Policy Committee and he is currently a Non-Executive Board Director for Suicide Prevention Australia.
